Skunk Anemonefish

The Skunk Clownfish (Amphiprion akallopison) is ieasily misidentified or confused withe the Pink Skunk Anemonefish (Amphiprion perideraion). It is found across the Indo-Pacific region. It is a slender and attractive fish that is very popular for underwater photographers. Its colouration often complements its host anemone, which is defends with vigor. Like nearly all types of clownfish, the largest member of each 'family' is female and she breeds with just one other male. If she dies, that male becomes female and grows in size to take her place as the group's leader.
