MY Blue

MY Blue is the premier yacht of a popular fleet of Red Sea diving liveaboards. It is currently (2020) the largest and newest of the fleet, and offers extra space & luxury compared to nearly every other boat in the area. Designed by divers, for divers, the boat is 43 metres long and was launched in 2016. Every square metre of every deck is well laid out and top quality. In addition, the team who run the boat are professional, experienced, service minded, & friendly.

Being so large, MY Blue offers its guests extra space on each deck, and this is first noticed on the sundeck. Up here, in addition to the usual sofas & sun loungers, there’s a wonderful shaded outdoor dining area that gives you the opportunity to enjoy the best views & most-delicious meals, either during the day or at night.

The upper deck of MY Blue has two more outdoor sofa areas, a mini lounge, & four guest cabins. The outdoor sofa areas are at the front & rear, giving space & comfort for plenty of guests to enjoy the views and maybe an evening drink. In addition to the boat’s main-deck lounge, there’s a mini lounge on this upper deck. It’s air conditioned, and access is via the rear outdoor sofa area. The mini lounge has two sofas, a large flat-screen television and a library of marine life books. And finally on the upper deck are four guest cabins. These are two with a double bed for couples and the others have two single beds. The cabins have a huge window & doors that open out onto deck. Like all guest cabins on MY Blue, there’s plenty of storage space, a private en suite bathroom, air conditioning, and a flat screen television.

MY Blue’s main deck has the dive platform, a large lounge & dining area, and the largest guest cabin. The dive deck at the rear of the boat is simply huge, and it has two levels. The lower level is where divers jump into the crystal-clear Red Sea, and the higher level is where the gear is stored between dives while the team tops up everyone's tank with air or free Nitrox. Taking up most of this main deck is the vast lounge saloon & dining room. This is where most meals are served by the expert team of chefs & cooks. Don’t expect to lose any weight on your MY Blue diving cruise, such is the taste & quantity of food on offer. Finally, at the front of the main deck is the Master Cabin. This cabin is the largest of the boat and it has the best views from several large windows.

On the lower deck there are eight twin cabins, all of which have air conditioning, a private bathroom & a television. One cabin at the front of the boat has a slightly different configuration of beds due to less space, so this cabin is offered at a cheaper price than the others, which have slightly more space. Regardless of which cabin you choose, the experience on MY Blue is second to none. The smooth ride of such a large boat just adds to the luxurious experience that you will enjoy from the facilities and the expert team.

Week-long cruises begin on Thursdays and depending on the itinerary, you can enjoy up to 21 dives per trip. In the spring the boat tends to offer more trips in the north of The Red Sea, then for the rest of the year it spends most of its time departing from Port Ghalib and sailing to the best dive sites, and there are plenty of safaris to the south. Disembarkation is the following Thursday morning, with free transfers to local airports. The boat has the latest safety & communication facilities, ensuring that guest safety always comes first.
