Sea Serpent Glorious Miss Nouran is a very large and luxurious Red Sea liveboard. It is 40 metres long and is sometimes known as Sea Serpent Glory. The boat takes just 26 guests in 13 well-appointed cabins, meaning that there's plenty of space for everyone to relax or socialise. Recently launched and designed specifically for scuba diving cruises, Miss Nouran is very popular, and for good reason.
Starting with communal areas, there are so many places to chill out on Miss Nouran that you might sometimes be spoilt for choice or can't find your friends or family! There are four outdoor seating areas, two sunbathing zones and a huge air-conditoned lounge saloon. The uppermost deck has a very large u-shaped sofa area with coffee tables and is fully shaded. Behind this, plus at the front of this deck, are two sunbathing spaces, with plenty of soft sun loungers. The upper deck has more soft seating at the rear, which is half shaded and the other half exposed. This is often where guests spend the late afternoons and evenings discussing the day's activities, maybe with a well-deserved cold beer. At the front of the upper deck is another seating area where you can relax with the sea breeze in your face, and be first to see the next exciting destination. The lounge saloon is simply vast, and located on the boat's main deck. There are four large dining tables, which enables everyone to comfortably enjoy the delicious meals served several times each day. Diving is hungry work, and there's plenty of food for everyone. Behind the dining room is the large lounge saloon. Here you will find lots of sofas and armchairs, and a huge flat-screen television. Maybe you just want to watch a movie, but this is also a great place to show off your clips from the dives of the day. There are so many communal areas on Sea Serpent Glorious Miss Nouran that you might feel just one week on board isn't enough time to enjoy them all!
Up to 26 lucky guests stay on board, in 13 air-conditioned cabins. Eight of the cabins are on the lower deck and these are configured to have two single beds, a mini bar fridge and private en suite bathroom. On the boat's upper deck there are five more guest cabins. All of these have a large window to let in plenty of daylight, and have doors which open out onto the deck. This gives you a wonderful welcome every morning, and for some people a greater sense of safety. Three of the upper-deck cabins are twin (two separate beds) and one is a double. Then at the front of the upper deck is the Honeymoon Suite. This is the largest and best cabin on Sea Serpent Glorious Miss Nouran, and has wrap-around windows to the front, plus a larger and brighter bathroom with large windows too. Solo guests are only placed in a cabin with another guest of the same gender.
But don't forget that you come aboard for the diving! At the rear of the main deck is a huge diving platform where everything is laid out sensibly. There's lots of room for everyone's tanks and gear. Each diver has his or her own tank slot for the whole trip, and there's space to gear up and walk down to the massive diving deck. Nitrox compressors fill the tanks almost silently between dives, and the crew are always on hand to help you. There are zodiac tender dinghies to drop you off right above the dive site or collect you at the end of the dive. Plus there are ladders at the rear of the deck, which is near to the water's surface.

Itinerary
Most trips start on Saturday evenings, and end on Saturday mornings. You join the boat during the late afternoon or early evening and have dinner and sleep on board on the marina. Then on the Sunday morning the boat sails out to sea, and you get two or sometimes three local reef dives on the Sunday. Monday to Thursday are full diving days, with three or sometimes four dives. Then on Friday there are only maximum two dives because the boat needs to sail back to harbour, the gear needs time to dry, and divers need time to 'off gas' (release nitrogen) before flying on Saturday.
The boat stays in the marina on the final evening, and sometimes guests are taken to a local hotel instead of sleeping on the boat, but in most cases everyone stays on the boat for all seven nights.
Glorious Miss Nouran offers a wide choice of itinerary destinations, which are listed below. Please check carefully that the trip you are interested in matches. Another way of checking is to click on Show Itinerary on the schedule, on your chosen dates.
Night diving is not permitted within national marine parks in Egypt, and some marine parks are far out to sea. This is why on some full diving days you can only do up to three dives.
The itineraries below are the most-common for each trip, but these can sometimes be changed for a number of reasons. Small changes are made due to weather & sea conditions, special marine life sightings, overcrowded dive sites, local-authorities' instructions, and the needs & requests of the paying guests. The safety & comfort of all guests is most important at all times.

Courses
Scuba diving courses are available on Glorious Miss Nouran, but normally need to be booked and paid for in advance. Most guests who join these trips are already certified to at least Open Water, and therefore the most-common courses are Advanced Adventurer to enable you to dive deeper, and the Nitrox course to enable you to stay deep for longer.
However, if you are not yet a certified diver and want to learn to dive on the trip, this is sometimes possible. It usually depends on the itinerary for the week because some dive sites are not suitable for learning to dive or for new divers.
Transfer details
The Sea Serpent team can collect you from local hotels and airports during the afternoon of the first day of the trip (Saturday) and drop you off after the trip. Most of the boat's trips are from/to Port Ghalib, and Marsa Alam is the nearest airport. But Hurghada has more international flights, so it's nearly always possible to schedule a transfer from (or back to) Hurghada free of charge or for a small fee. Nearly all transfers are shared with other Sea Serpent guests, and are at set times to fit flight schedules.
