MY Sea Serpent Contessa is a very-popular Red Sea diving liveaboard. The boat can accommodate up to 24 lucky guests, in 12 well-appointed cabins. There's plenty of space to relax, both inside and out. And the bright dining room gives you 360° views of the Red Sea while you enjoy delicious freshly-cooked food. Most itineraries focus on the best wrecks and reefs of the northern Red Sea, and some venture across to The Straits of Tiran or down to the famous Brothers Islands.
You can enjoy your time on Sea Serpent Contessa over four comfortable and spacious decks. The uppermost deck is called the sundeck or fly deck. Up here you have lots soft seating, beanbags and tables in a shaded area, plus sun loungers to the rear for those who want to sunbathe or gaze at the stars. Then the staircase leads down to the boat's upper deck. The upper deck is where you can choose to relax at the bar & sofas at the rear, or inside a huge air-conditioned lounge saloon & dining room. The lounge saloon has sofas and a large tv for multimedia, but the dining room is the centrepiece of this wonderful boat. With large windows all around, you can enjoy delicious meals with a 360° view of the surrounding area. Four large dining tables enable everyone to dine comfortably, and the filling meals are served buffet style multiple times per day throughout your trip.
Down to the main deck of Contessa, we have four guest cabins, which have large windows for a welcoming sea view and lots of natural light. These cabins are two twins and two doubles. Then to the rear of the main deck there's a huge diving area, spread over two levels. The upper level is where all the gear is stored, with tanks in diver-specific slots being filled with air or Nitrox. Then the lower level is a large flat diving platform where you can walk to the edge and jump into the crystal-clear Red Sea. Then on the lower deck there are eight twin cabins, each with two single beds and a porthole window. Every guest cabin on Sea Serpent Contessa has a private en suite bathroom and air conditioning. And double cabins have a refrigerator and a small wall-mounted tv.
The trips on Contessa are seven days and nights, with up to 20 dives on some trips, but most average 17 dives. Nitrox is for free for certified divers, and the Nitrox course is available for those who want to become certified. The whole team are well trained and experienced in offering a great experience, from clean cabins and delicious food to help on the dive deck and being shown the incredible marine life. Whichever itinerary and cabin you choose, your trip is almost guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience.

Itinerary
Each Contessa trip is designed to enable you to travel directly from the airport to the boat, and from the boat back to the airport. However, some guests choose to stay in a hotel before or after the cruise.
The trips are a week long (7D/7N) and you spend the first and final nights on board in the harbour.
On the first & final diving days, the dive sites are usually at local reefs, before sailing out to sea. On some days you get up to four dives, including a night dive, but most days there are three dives.
Most trips sail from Hurghada to the reefs and wrecks of the northern Red Sea, and some go further south to The Brothers. Clicking on the items below gives you more details and each trip. Make sure the item you click on matches your chosen dates in the schedule. Or you can click on 'Show Itinerary' on your chosen trip on the schedule.
The itineraries below are the most-common for each trip, but these can sometimes be changed for a number of reasons. Small changes are made due to weather & sea conditions, special marine life sightings, overcrowded dive sites, local-authorities' instructions, and the needs & requests of the paying guests. The safety & comfort of all guests is most important at all times.

Courses
If you are interested in taking a diving course during your cruise on Sea Serpent Contessa, it's important to let the team know in advance. The Advanced Adventurer and Nitrox courses are the most popular, as these enable you to dive depper, and for longer. In most cases, you should pay in advance in order to complete online eLearning theory before arrival. This maximises your time on board relaxing and enjoying the views.
Transfer details
The Contessa team collect guests from local hotels and the nearest airport during the afternoon of the first day. These transfers are usually for free and at set times. And it's the same after the cruise, when you leave the boat soon after breakfast.
If you need a transfer from 'the other airport' or at a different time to the fre transfers, just ask us for details.
