MV Deep Andaman Queen is a very popular mid-range scuba diving liveaboard boat that sails to all the best dive sites of Thailand. All cabins have private en suite bathrooms & air conditioning. There are several cabin types to choose from, including quad, triple, twin, double & master.

New for 2019 the boat had a full refit. On the lower deck there are 'standard' cabins, which have air conditioning and private bathrooms. These include a twin, a triple, and one with four beds. On the main deck Deep Andaman Queen has two deluxe twin cabins, three deluxe double cabins and two master cabins. All the main-deck cabins have large windows and doors which open out onto the deck.

There are many wonderful things about this purpose-built diving boat, including its comfortable cabins, large communal areas and diving facitilities such as the huge diving deck. Starting with the dive deck & platform, there are areas and rinse tanks for cleaning equipment & cameras, plus freshwater showers. Being purpose built means that everything is in the correct place, such as easy to access or out of the way. This includes the boat's compressor and Nitrox membrane system. For ease and convenience of scuba diving entry and exit, it is a dream-like boat. In addition, there are motorised tender dinghies to retrieve divers and transport guests to the beaches which the Similans are famous for.

However, it’s not just the diving platform that makes a great liveaboard boat. Diving guests are only underwater for maximum four hours per day. The other twenty hours aboard Deep Andaman Queen can be spent in air-conditioned cabins, on the sundeck or shaded lounge at the very top of the boat, in the saloon, or the open air dining area at the back of the main deck. There’s always room to socialize or somewhere to get some privacy.

Deep Andaman QueenSafety is the first and most-important thing for diving safaris to the Similan Islands, and the professional organization and on-board facilities enable Deep Andaman Queen to stand out among the rest. However, from a guest’s point of view, the whole reason for going is to relax and/or have fun. The crew and diving staff on Deep Andaman Queen pride themselves on ensuring that every guest, whatever diver level or cabin price paid, receives a professional & friendly service, and has lots of safe fun and time to relax.

There are many reasons to choose Deep Andaman Queen for a Similan diving safari, including the new boat & its facilities, its staff, and the wonderful food to be enjoyed on board. Scheduled transfers from around local hotels & the airport are for free, and the boat takes no more than 23 guests on each trip, ensuring that there is plenty of space to enjoy every moment on board.

The trips are usually four days & four nights in length, with some five days & five nights during peak-season periods. During the summer months, the boat offers three-day-four-night trips from Pak Bara to Koh Lipe.

Itinerary

Booking / Enquiry

Deep Andaman Queen has several itineraries, which include the regular 4D/4N trips within Thailand's Similan Islands. During peak periods, such as New Year and other public holidays, these Similan trips are 24 hours longer.

During the Similan low season (May - October) Deep Andaman Queen is based in the deep south, sailing to Koh Lipe for 3 day, 4 night trips.
And between the Koh Lipe and Similan trips, the boat offers cruises around Phuket, including Koh Haa and Hin Daeng.

Please carefully look at the dates and schedules of the trips, especially if you're comparing websites for the same trip.
All of Deep Andaman's cruises depart in the evening, and you finish diving in the afternoon 3, 4 or 5 days later.

Guests normally disembark a few hours after the final dive, which is approximately 3pm at Tab Lamu Pier.

For Koh Lipe trips, you can spend the final (extra) night onboard, and disembark the following morning. This means you don't need a hotel for the night, and you're safe to fly by lunchtime.

Most Similan trips are 4D/4N (4 diving days & 4 nights)
Public holiday Smilan trips are 5D/5N (5 diving days & 4 nights)
Koh Lipe trips are 3D/4N (3 diving days & 4 nights)
Koh Haa/Hin Daeng/Phi Phi/Phuket trips are mostly 3D/3N.

The itineraries below are the most-common for each trip, but these can sometimes be changed for a number of reasons. Small changes are made due to weather & sea conditions, special marine life sightings, overcrowded dive sites, local-authorities' instructions, and the needs & requests of the paying guests. The safety & comfort of all guests is most important at all times.

Great time for our first live aboard. The crew was very attentive to everyone’s needs throughout the trip. The food and boat were great, it wasn’t perfect or luxurious (boats rarely are), but the atmosphere and dives were great. Bahn, Bobby, Jade and the others were great hosts!

The entire crew was amazing. So attentive and hard working. Not just the dive guides, but everyone working on the boat. They were happy too, regardless of the time of day. I was really impressed with the service. The rooms were also clean and attended to, with fresh towels and changed trash bins regularly. Lastly, the dives were thoughtful and all were enjoyable.

The Deep Andaman Queen staff was fantastic. The dive masters were stellar, food was delicious, plentiful and they accommodated multiple diet restrictions, the double room we stayed in was nice, and the dive equipment was solid. The only reason they are not a perfect 10 is because I'm not sure how environmentally friendly they are. It would be awesome if they added some of these elements and talked about it in their dive briefi ngs and boat briefings. If that's what people are looking for though, I'm sure there are other boats for people to book. If not, Deep Andaman Queen is the one to go for.

Such a fantastic crew, boat, food, and service. My diving had to be cut short due to an ear issue on day 2; however, the crew was so supportive and kind, even giving me ear drops and medicine to try and fix it. The bed was comfortable, aircon worked great, and there was a comfortable room to socialize and watch movies in during the day.

Excellent experience! This was only my 2nd liveaboard but I couldn't have asked for (much) more. First class very professional crew, great boat, delicious food and brilliant diving. Mantas, a whale shark, nudis........ Perhaps all I could have asked for is more time!
