The Bluespotted Stingray is also known as the Khul's Maskray, as it was named after Heinrich Kuhl who discovered it in Java, Indonesia. In the Indo-Pacific region these rays can be seen at many dive sites, normally on sandy seabeds between 10-25 metres below the surface.
