The Pickhandle Barracuda (Sphyraena jello) is a large species of barracuda, also known as the Yellowtail, Jello, Blackfin, Guinean, Slender & Banded Barracuda and Sea Pike. It can grow to more than 1.5 metres in length and weigh more than 11 kilogrammes. The often spend the day in packs, then split up to hunt at night using lightning speed and mouths full of razor-sharp teeth. The black markings fade with age, but their yellow tail fins remain throughout their lives. They're abundant throughout tropical and sub-tropical waters of the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific.
