White Eyed Moray Eel

Gymnothorax thyrsoideus is known by several names, including the White-Eyed Moray Eel, Grey-Faced Moray Eel, Slender Moray Eel & Freckled Moray Eel. It's smaller than most species, growing up to 70cm. It lives in the Indo-Pacific region and can be found at most depths that recreational scuba divers dive at. Like nearly all morays, these eels spend the day in rock crevices, mouthing water through their gills. Then at night they hunt crustaceans and small reef fish.
