Hawksbill Turtle
The Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) is a very popular species among divers and snorkellers. It has a colourful shell and a beautfiul shape. It's found in tropical and sub-tropical areas seas and oceans around the world. They were hunted almost to extinction for their shells, but numbers have bounced back in recent years. They are omnivorous, eating soft animals such as jellyfish, as well as algae, sea grass and corals.
