Whitetip Reef Shark

The Whitetip Reef Shark is a shy species of shark that sleeps in the day and hunts at night. Divers can often find them sleeping under coral bommies. They don't need to swim all the time, and often sleep in groups. Whitetips are no threat to humans, and tend to swim away if approached. They can be found in warm seas around the globe, and at depths from 10 metres and deeper. During the night they often hunt in packs across the reef.
